For each person, the effect of all available learning opportunities is a superposition with constructive or destructive components.

The goal of group learning is to select learning services that will maximize the constructive superposition and minimizing the destructive superposition. Instead of "yes" or "no," all opportunities are graded towards group and individual learning effect. The e-learning researchers and learning designers are achieving the optimization by gradually increasing the challenges when the harmony between individuals and the group is achieved.
