The Structure of BUS 208

This is how the course looks to me.

Module I: Descriptive Statistics

We will study first frequency distributions, measures of central tendencies (mean, mode, median), measures of variation, and than will build a second layer (Module II). chapters 1, 2, and 3 will cover this Module of our study.

Module II: Probabilistic Distributions

In the next module, Module II, we will study a little bit about Probability (Chapter 4), two theoretical probabilistic distributions (Binomial and Poisson), and one probabilistic continuous distribution, which is called Normal.  Chapters 4, 5, 6, and 7 will cover the content of the second module. In brief, we move from frequency distributions, covered in Module I, to probability type of distributions, covered in Module II.

Module III: Inferential Statistics

In the third module of our course, I will show you something very important - why knowledge from small random sample is enough to make inferences about the whole population. This part of statistics is the key to the applications of statistics for forecasting and measuring characteristics of public behavior such as "for and again" a project, customer satisfaction, and even the portfolio of your future business.
